Does Your Body Feel Trapped In Vicious Cycle?

Does your month look like this?... A 90-minute massage every month, you visit your favourite chiropractor twice a month, and on top of everything else have to squeeze in those 45 minute sessions with your physio-therapist once a week. You literally feel like you are running from one expert to another. Post treatment/session always feels euphoric, the pain in your achy muscles and tired joints finally settles down... BUT, before you know it, after as little as 24-48 hours those aches and pains come a-knocking again... just in time for your next appointment to save the day.

Here's the thing, if all these adjustments, treatments, and rehab exercises were really working then wouldn't you be seeing your trusted practitioners less NOT more? ... Even if you see your therapists a little less frequently then you did at the start, who do you know, including yourself, that ACTUALLY gets free of needing maintenance treatment care once they start it?

Body Vicious Cycle

At New Vision Health this is what we refer to as the "vicious cycle". Time and time again people struggling with joint pain are looking for solutions, help, and guidance, but instead, all they end up with are band-aid methods providing temporary relief at best! Then just to top it off, when the experts can't provide you with a reason for why you are spinning your tires endlessly just trying to get some relief, they turn to their good ole scapegoat... "It's aging, get used to it".

What the rehab & fitness industry absolutely refuses to address when it comes to solving recurring joint & muscular pain, painful aging, performance plateaus, and repetitive injuries is one thing...It's called PATTERN OVERLOAD.

Pattern Overload is a phenomena that impacts every individual, but some of us are more resilient to its effects than others; think elite athletes. Essentially, your body is always adapting or maladapting to the repetitive tasks and activities, or in other words, the patterns that we engage in most frequently at different stages of life. For instance, the sports we chose to play as children can have long lasting effects on how our body, muscles, and joints all developed into adulthood. However, the biggest culprit of Pattern Overload in our adult lives is typically our careers. Stress infused activities like our jobs deeply ingrain the patterns of overwork into our tissues dehydrating chains of tissue until they calcify, which is commonly referred to as arthritis.

So what to do?

To get to the bottom of Pattern Overload, regenerate calcified tissues, and decompress your structure exercise becomes crucial and more specifically HOW we exercise matters most. If we are to regenerate our calcified and compressed structures then our training must account for the patterns that we DO NOT do enough. Our training must carefully deconstruct our gait cycle (stand, walk, run, throw) and rebuild these biological patterns from the ground up. We can do this applying Functional Patterns training strategies to our lives and exercise programs. This is what we teach at new Vision Health.
